A message from the provider:
Nursing has been a lifelong passion of mine. As a young person, I was able to identify and relate to the disparity of illness and the lack of knowledge associated with self-wellness deficiencies. At a young age I identified a deficit and a need, this drew me to the desire to help others attain a sense of health and wellness. The most rewarding piece of my career has been teaching and witnessing positive life habit changes resulting in improved health; as well as being able to provide resources and support for advanced age and end-of-life challenges for the patient and the caregiver/family alike.
I feel the most important factor in the provider / patient relationship is trust, candor, and compassion. Patients have described me as compassionate with an attention to detail. My top priority to ensure each patient receives the quality personalized health care they deserve is listening and learning about the patient’s and their caregiver’s perceived needs, concerns, and worries.
I am an alumna of PSC, UWF, USA currently obtaining my DNP from the University of Alabama. My plan for my DNP is to spearhead a quality care initiative for the institutionalized elderly, along with providing attainable quality care for the community.
